Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 6.0L.

    2. Object Number: 928982 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor wire (1) from the radiator support retainer clip.
  3. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose assembly from the radiator support tabs.

    4. Object Number: 928973 Size: SH
  4. Remove the radiator support bolts.

    5. Important: Note the position of the radiator support in relationship to the fan shroud. This must be reassembled correctly in order to retain the fan shroud.

  5. Remove the radiator support.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 928978 Size: SH

    Important: Position the radiator support in the correct relationship to the fan shroud.

  1. Install the radiator support.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 928973 Size: SH
  2. Install the radiator support bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the surge tank inlet hose assembly to the radiator support tabs.

    4. Object Number: 928982 Size: SH
  4. Connect MAF sensor wire (1) to the radiator support retainer clip.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 6.0L.
