Removal Procedure
  1. Cycle the folding top stowage compartment lid open.

    2. Object Number: 1286888 Size: SH
  2. Stop the cycle when the folding top is fully retracted into the stowage compartment area.
  3. Pull the drain hose out of the lock pillar inner opening.
  4. Heat the drain cup using a heat gun. Hold the heat gun approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the surface. Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.

  5. Pull the drain cup away from the vehicle.
  6. Remove all adhesive from the body panel using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naptha.

Installation Procedure
  1. Ensure that the painted body surface in the tape contact area is clean and dry.
  2. Warm the body panel with a heat lamp or heat gun to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

  3. Align the drain cup to the body.
  4. Pull the backing from the drain cup.
  5. Press the drain cup to the body ensuring that the alignment tabs are installed.
  6. Roll the drain cup to the body to ensure proper adhesion.
  7. Cycle the folding top closed.
