Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2007 🢒 Silverado Classic - 2WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 8.1L 🢒 Oil Pump Assemble

    Object Number: 427947 Size: SH

    Important: Replace the pressure relief valve spring when using the original oil pump again.

  1. Install the following items:
    2. 1.1. The pressure relief valve
    1.2. The pressure relief valve spring
    1.3. The retaining pin

  2. Apply clean engine oil to the drive gear, the driven gear, and the housing gear surfaces.
  3. Install the drive gear and the driven gear into the pump body. Align the matching marks on the gears. Install the smooth side of the gear toward the pump cover.

    4. Object Number: 678106 Size: SH
  4. Install the oil pump cover.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 678105 Size: SH
  5. Install the oil pump cover bolts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pump cover bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  6. Inspect the oil pump for smooth operation by turning the oil pump driveshaft by hand.

    7. Object Number: 427935 Size: SH

    Notice: Ensure the oil pump driveshaft is inspected for wear and/or damage, and replaced if necessary. An excessively worn or damaged oil pump driveshaft may fail causing severe engine damage.

  7. Install the oil pump driveshaft and the new retainer.
