Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the steering column covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1631356 Size: SH
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with the immobilizer, complete the following steps:
    3. • Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
    • Disconnect the connector (1).
    • Remove the screw (2).
    • Remove the immobilizer (3).

  3. With the key in the lock cylinder, turn the key to the ACC position.
  4. Press down the detent spring with an allen wrench, or an appropriate tool, and pull the lock cylinder out of the housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1631455 Size: SH
  1. With the key in the lock cylinder, turn the key to the ACC position.
  2. Install the lock cylinder to the housing.
  3. Remove the key.

    4. Object Number: 1631356 Size: SH
  4. If the vehicle is equipped with the immobilizer, complete the following steps:
    5. • Install the immobilizer (3) to the housing.
    • Install the screw (2).
    • Connect the connector (1).
    • Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  5. Install the steering column covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
