Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1332854 Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolts (1) and nuts (2) from the front side brush guard (3).
  2. Remove the front side brush guard from the vehicle.
  3. Open the hood.
  4. Remove the upper air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
  5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  6. Remove the 2 lower front end guard assembly fasteners (1) from the lower support bracket.

    7. Object Number: 1332877 Size: SH
  7. Remove the upper front end guard assembly fastener (1) from the guard center bracket.
  8. Remove the front end guard assembly from the vehicle.

    9. Object Number: 1332880 Size: SH
  9. Remove the 2 guard center bracket fasteners (1) from the upper guard support bracket.
  10. Remove the guard center bracket from the vehicle.
  11. Remove the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .
  12. Remove the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Replacement .

  13. Remove the upper guard support bracket front fasteners (1) from the vehicle.
  14. Remove the upper guard support bracket lower fasteners (2) from the upper guard support bracket.
  15. Remove the upper guard support bracket (3) from the vehicle.

  16. Remove the tow-hook fastener (1) from the vehicle.
  17. Remove the mid-support mounting bracket fastener (2).
  18. Remove the mid-support mounting bracket (3).

  19. Remove the lower support bracket fastener (1).
  20. Remove the lower support bracket (2).

Installation Procedure
  1. Loosely install the lower support bracket, mid-support mounting bracket, and upper guard support bracket with corresponding fasteners to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Tighten the lower support bracket (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1332892 Size: SH
  3. Tighten the tow hook fastener  (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).

  4. Tighten the mid-support mounting bracket fastener (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  5. Tighten the upper guard support bracket front fastener (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  6. Tighten the upper guard support bracket lower fastener (2).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Replacement .
  8. Install the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .
  9. Install the guard center bracket to the vehicle.

    10. Object Number: 1332880 Size: SH
  10. Install the 2 guard center bracket fasteners (1) to the upper guard support bracket.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  11. Install the front end guard assembly to the vehicle.

    12. Object Number: 1332877 Size: SH
  12. Install the front end guard assembly fastener (1) to the guard center bracket.

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1332868 Size: SH
  13. Install the 2 lower front end guard assembly fasteners (1) to the lower support bracket.

    14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  14. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  15. Install the front side brush guard.

    16. Object Number: 1332854 Size: SH
  16. Install the bolts (1) and nuts (2) to the front side brush guard (3).

    17. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  17. Install the upper air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
  18. Close the hood.
