1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the drivers seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .

Inflatable Restraint Seat Position Sensor Screw (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
3 N·m (25 lb in)

Inflatable Restraint Position Sensor Assembly

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the front driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.

Driver Seat Position Sensor Rivet (Qty: 2)

Procedure

1. Drill out the old rivet.
2. Use a new rivet for replacement.
