Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement Except 4.2L

Tools Required
    • J 25033-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 649303 Size: SH
  1. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.
  2. Secure the power steering pump in a vise, taking care not to damage the power steering reservoir.
  3. Using the J 25034-C , remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 643361 Size: SH
  1. Position the power steering pump pulley to the end of the power steering pump shaft.
  2. Using the J 25033-C , install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.

    3. Object Number: 245012 Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering pump pulley (1) flush against the end of the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
  4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.

Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement 4.2L

Tools Required

    • J 25033-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 649303 Size: SH
  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the power steering pump pulley using J 25034-C .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 643361 Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering pump pulley to the end of the power steering pump shaft.
  2. Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump using J 25033-C .

    3. Object Number: 245012 Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering pump pulley (1) flush against the end of the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.01 in).
  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
