Power window motors have a built-in circuit breaker which protects the motor. The circuit breaker may open when there is a window obstruction, binding condition or the power window switch has been activated for an extended period of time. The circuit breaker will reset automatically as the circuit breaker cools, however 5-15 seconds may elapse before the circuit breaker resets.
