Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to 
SIR Disabling and Enabling
 .
 
- Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to 
Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement
 .
 
- Tilt the column to the CENTER position.
 
- Disconnect the connectors from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
 
- Remove 2 pan head tapping screws from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
 
- Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
 
Installation Procedure
Important: The electrical contact on the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.
- Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
 
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws.
 
Tighten
|     •  | Tighten the screw on the top of the column to 3 N·m (27 lb in). | 
 
|     •  | Tighten the screw on the side to 7 N·m (62 lb in). | 
 
- Connect the connectors to the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
 
- Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to 
Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement
 .
 
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to 
SIR Disabling and Enabling
 .
