Removal Procedure
  1. Open the front door.
  2. Scribe the location of the existing front door lock striker on the B-pillar with a grease pencil.

    3. Object Number: 1480538 Size: SH
  3. Remove the front door lock striker screws.
  4. Remove the front door lock striker plate (2) and shim (1) from B-pillar.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1480538 Size: SH
  1. Install the front door lock striker shim (1) and plate (2) to the scribed location on the B-pillar.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the front door lock striker screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws, as sequenced, to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    Important: 

       • Ensure that the front door striker properly engages with the front door lock once the front door is adjusted within the door frame.
       • Use the front door striker in order to ensure the front door is flush.
       • DO NOT use the front door striker in order to raise or lower the front door.

  3. Close the front door.
