Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2005 🢒 Uplander Ext. 🢒 Body 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left rear inner fender liner.
  2. Open the left sliding door.
  3. Remove the left body side trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .

    4. Object Number: 1480563 Size: SH
  4. Release the cable tension on fuel filler door interlock cable and remove fuel door interlock cable from the sliding door interlock latch(2).
  5. Disconnect the fuel filler door interlock cable from the fuel door.
  6. Attach a piece of mechanics wire to the fuel filler door interlock cable end.

    7. Object Number: 1480569 Size: SH
  7. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the fuel filler door cable from the rear inner quarter panel.
  8. Use the mechanics wire to pull the fuel filler door interlock cable through and into the rear inner quarter panel opening.
  9. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door interlock cable leaving the mechanics wire routed through the rear quarter panel.
  10. Remove the fuel filler door interlock cable from the vehicle(3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1480563 Size: SH
  1. Attach the new fuel filler door interlock cable end to the mechanics wire.
  2. Use the mechanics wire to pull the fuel filler door interlock cable through the rear quarter panel openings.
  3. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door interlock cable.
  4. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable to the fuel filler door.
  5. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable (2) to the sliding door interlock latch (4).

    6. Object Number: 1480569 Size: SH
  6. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable (2) on the rear inner quarter panel.
  7. Inspect the operation of the filler door.
  8. Install the left body side trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  9. Close the left sliding door.
  10. Instal the left rear inner fender liner.
