J 25070 Heat Gun

1. Remove the side door molding. Refer to Door Body Side Molding Replacement .



2. Use a J 25070 to heat the upper edge of the molding retainer. Use a circular motion 152 mm (6 in) from the retainer for 30 seconds.

Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing an emblem/name plate.

3. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the retainer from the outer door panel.

1. Ensure that the molding retainer is approximately room temperature 22°C (72°F).
2. Use isopropyl alcoho to clean the area of the outer door panel where the molding retainer will be installed.




Important: Do NOT touch the adhesive backing.

3. Remove the protective liner from the back of the retainer.
4. Align the retainer to the rear bottom corner and the lower edge of the outer door panel.
5. Press the retainer to the outer door panel until fully seated.
6. Install the side door molding. Refer to Door Body Side Molding Replacement .
