Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1548559 Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper instrument panel (I/P) trim pad. Refer to Upper Trim Pad, Outer Trim Cover, Fuse Block Access Cover Replacement - Instrument Panel in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Locate the recirculation actuator (2).
  3. Disconnect the recirculation actuator electrical connector (1).

  4. Remove the recirculation actuator bolts/screws (1).
  5. Remove the recirculation actuator (7).
  6. Remove the recirculation actuator levers (3, 6), if necessary. Note positioning for re-installation.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1548539 Size: SH
  1. Install the recirculation actuator levers (3, 6), if necessary.
  2. Install the recirculation actuator (7).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the recirculation actuator bolts/screws (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).

  4. Connect the recirculation actuator electrical connector (1).
  5. Install the upper I/P trim pad. Refer to Upper Trim Pad, Outer Trim Cover, Fuse Block Access Cover Replacement - Instrument Panel in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  6. Re-calibrate the actuators. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
