The internal fault detection is handled by the instrument panel cluster (IPC).
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B0931 Compass Sensor Circuit
The IPC monitors the analog input value at power up.
The IPC does not detect the compass sensor. This may be due to a faulty sensor.
The DTC will be set and stored in non-volatile memory.
| • | The DTC becomes history when the driver information center (DIC) no longer detects a failure. |
| • | The history DTC clears after 100 fault-free ignition cycles. |
| • | The DIC receives the clear code command from the scan tool. |
