DEFINITION: The interior courtesy lights do not turn ON for 40 seconds when the following actions occur:

    • You use the keyless entry transmitter in order to unlock the doors.
    • The interior lamps override switch is on (the interior courtesy lights are enabled).

Did you perform the Body Control Module (BCM) Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Lower the driver's window in order to prevent lockout.
  2. Close and lock all of the doors.
  3. Turn the ignition switch from LOCK to RUN, then back to LOCK.
  4. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter and observe the following components:
    5. • The interior courtesy lights
    • The door locks

Did the door locks unlock when you pressed the UNLOCK button on the remote keyless entry transmitter?
