Removal Procedure
- Remove the side door molding. Refer to 
Body Side Door Molding Replacement 
.
 
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
- To release the  push-in retainers,
perform the following steps:
 
| 2.1.  | Drill a 3 mm (0.125 in) hole into the center locking
pin of the push-in retainer. | 
 
| 2.2.  | Install a 3 mm (0.125 in) screw into the center
locking pin of the push-in retainer. | 
 
| 2.3.  | Use a pair of pliers to pull out the screw and unlock the push-in
retainer. | 
 
- Use a J 25070 
to heat the upper edge of the molding retainer. Use a circular motion 152 mm
 (6 in) from the retainer for 30 seconds.
 
Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing
an emblem/name plate.
- Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the retainer from the outer
door panel.
 
Installation Procedure
- Ensure that the retainer is approximately room temperature 22°C
(72°F).
 
- Use isopropyl alcohol to clean the area of the outer door panel
where the molding retainer will be installed.
 
Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing of the molding retainer.
- Remove the protective liner from the back of the molding retainer.
 
- Align the push-in retainers to the holes in the outer door panel.
 
- Press the molding to the outer door panel until fully seated.
 
- Press on the center locking pins until the retainer is fully seated.
 
- Install the side door molding. Refer to 
Door Body Side Molding Replacement
