J 36660-A Torque Angle Meter

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left Side or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side.

    2. Object Number: 54392 Size: SH
  2. Remove the rocker arm bolts.
  3. Remove the valve rocker arms and the pushrods.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 187046 Size: SH
  1. Coat the ends of the push rods and rocker arm friction surfaces using Engine Oil Supplement (EOS) GM P/N 12345501 or GM P/N 88862586 (Canadian P/N 992704 or Canadian P/N 88862586) or the equivalent.

    2. Important: The intake valve push rods measure 144 mm (5.75 in) in length.

    The exhaust valve push rods measure 152.5 mm (6.0 in) in length.

  2. Install the push rods in their original location.

    3. Object Number: 54392 Size: SH
  3. Coat the rocker arm friction surfaces using Engine Oil Supplement (EOS) GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or the equivalent.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the valve rocker arm bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Using the J 36660-A tighten the bolts to 19 N·m (14 lb ft) plus an additional 30 degrees.

  5. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left Side or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side.
