- Clean all the parts in a suitable solvent. Air dry all the parts.
- Inspect the reverse idler gear teeth for the following conditions:
- Replace the reverse idler bearing assembly if any of these conditions exist:
- Inspect the reverse idler shaft for the following conditions:
- Replace the revere idler shaft if signs of wear or overheating exists.
- Remove any scoring with a soft stone or crocus cloth.
