    Important: Do not pry against the case passage wall while you remove the retaining pin.

  1. Remove the manual shaft retaining pin (709).
  2. Remove the manual shaft nut (712).
  3. Remove the manual shaft (708).
  4. Remove the manual shaft seal (707).
  5. Inspect the manual shaft for the following conditions:
    6. • Damaged flats or threads
    • Burrs
    • Wear
  6. Inspect the manual shaft retaining pin for tightness.
