Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1866785 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
  3. Reposition the fuel hose clamp (1) at the fuel return pipe.
  4. Reposition the fuel hose clamp (2) at the fuel injection pump hose.
  5. Remove the fuel return and injection pump hoses from the fuel feed manifold.
  6. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed manifold bolt (5) and upper clamp (4).
  7. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed manifold bolt (3).

  8. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed pipe side bolt (1).

    9. Object Number: 1866789 Size: SH
  9. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed manifold from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1866789 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injection fuel feed manifold to the engine.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe side bolt (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the fuel return and injection pump hoses to the fuel feed manifold.
  4. Position the fuel hose clamp (2) at the fuel injection pump hose.
  5. Position the fuel hose clamp (1) at the fuel return pipe.
  6. Install the fuel injection fuel feed manifold upper clamp (4) and bolt (5).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the fuel injection fuel feed manifold bolt (3).

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the EGR valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
  9. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  10. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  11. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  12. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
