Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1986996 Size: MH
  1. Remove the ECU bracket.
  2. Remove the fuel pipe retaining bolt (6).
  3. Remove the pipe retaining clips (7).
  4. Disengage the common fuel rail fuel pipe fittings.
  5. Remove the common fuel rail fuel pipe (5).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1986996 Size: MH
  1. Position the common fuel rail fuel pipe (5)

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the common fuel rail fuel pipe fittings to 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

  2. Install the fuel pipe clips (7) to the common fuel rail fuel pipe (1).
  3. Install the fuel supply pipe retaining bolt (6).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the common fuel rail fuel pipe retaining bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the ECU bracket.
  5. Start the engine, and confirm fuel is not leaking from the connections.
