J 41240 Fan Clutch Remover and Installer

1. Place the water pump gaskets and the water pump into position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




2. Install the water pump bolts.

Tighten

•	Tighten the water pump bolts (1-4) a first pass in sequence to 25 N·m (18 lb ft) for the first pass.

•	Tighten the water pump bolts (1-4) a final pass in sequence to 50 N·m (37 lb ft) for the final pass.




3. Install the water pump pulley (303) and bolts (302).



4. Use the J 41240 in order to retain the water pump pulley.

Tighten
Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
