J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

1. Remove the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

•	Air Cleaner Element Replacement for the 6.6L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 8.1L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 7.8L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 7.2L engine




3. Disconnect the low pressure switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the low pressure switch from the accumulator.
5. Remove the O-ring seal.

1. Install the new O-ring seal to the switch. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




2. Install the air conditioning (A/C) low pressure switch to the accumulator.

Tighten
Tighten the switch to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

3. Connect the low pressure switch electrical connector.
4. Install the air cleaner. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

•	Air Cleaner Element Replacement for the 6.6L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 8.1L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 7.8L engine

•	Air Cleaner Replacement for the 7.2L engine

5. Install the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
6. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A .
