Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 8.1L Engine

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 751424 Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Reposition the inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  3. Remove the inlet hose from the radiator.

    4. Object Number: 751425 Size: SH
  4. Reposition the inlet hose clamp from the water outlet.
  5. Remove the inlet hose from the water outlet.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 751425 Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet hose to the water outlet.
  2. Reposition the inlet hose clamp to the water outlet.

    3. Object Number: 751424 Size: SH
  3. Install the inlet hose to the radiator.
  4. Reposition the inlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 307286 Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the following locations:
    3. • Throttle body
    • Mass air flow (MAF) /intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose clip from the outlet hose.
  4. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
  5. If necessary, remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.

  6. Remove the radiator vent inlet hose from the radiator inlet hose clips.

    7. Object Number: 1486075 Size: SH
  7. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  8. Remove the inlet hose clip from the fan shroud.
  9. Remove the inlet hose (1) from the radiator.

    10. Object Number: 659418 Size: SH
  10. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the water pump.
  11. Remove the inlet hose from the water pump.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 659418 Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet hose to the water pump.
  2. Position the inlet hose clamp at the water pump.

    3. Object Number: 1486075 Size: SH
  3. Install the inlet hose (1) to the radiator.
  4. Position the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  5. Install the inlet hose clip to the fan shroud.

    6. Object Number: 659465 Size: SH
  6. Install the radiator vent inlet hose to the radiator inlet hose clips.
  7. If necessary, install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.

    8. Object Number: 307286 Size: SH

    Important: Align the arrow at the throttle body end of the duct with the throttle body attaching stud.

  8. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
  9. Install the radiator inlet hose clip to the outlet duct.
  10. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the following locations:
    11. • Throttle body
    • MAF/IAT sensor

    Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  11. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
