Shock Sensor Replacement Early Production Only

Important: A replacement sensor is not available.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .



3. Remove the shock sensor connector.
4. Remove the shock sensor from console by pulling unit off from the adhesive pad.

1. Put tape over the open connector terminals.
2. Secure the connector to the main branch of the harness that leads towards the rear seat audio control.
3. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
4. Install the negative battery cable.
