Makes 🢒 Geo 🢒 1997 🢒 Tracker - 2WD 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Automatic Transmission - 4 Speed-M41 🢒 Front Upper Valve Body Assemble

    Object Number: 153860 Size: SH

    Important: Verify that all parts are clean and dry before assembly.

  1. Install the following throttle valve components to the valve body:
    2. • The secondary valve spring
    • The throttle valve compensating ring(s) (1)
    • The throttle valve
    • The throttle valve primary spring (2)
    • The downshift plug to the valve body and secure with one locating pin.

  2. Install the following TV cable cam components onto the valve body assembly:
    3. • The cam return spring (1)
    • The cam spacer (2)
    • The cam (3)
    • Secure with one bolt (4)

    Tighten
    Tighten the TV cam bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the front valve end cover to the valve body; secure with one bolt. Do not tighten bolt fully.

  4. Install the following components onto the valve body:
    5. • The secondary valve spring
    • The secondary regulator valve
    • Rotate the end cover (1) over valve; secure with one remaining bolt.

    Tighten
    Tighten the pressure relief valve bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the following cut back valve components onto the valve body:
    6. • Cut back valve spring
    • Cut back valve
    • Cut back plug
    • Secure with one cut back valve retainer (1).

  6. Install the throttle valve keep plate (2) into the valve body (1).
