Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 832846 Size: SH
  1. Remove the center console from the vehicle. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the passengers I/P extension trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  4. Remove the fasteners retaining the speaker housing to the body.

  5. Partially remove the front speaker assembly from the I/P carrier.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    7. Object Number: 832844 Size: SH
  7. Remove the clips from front speaker assembly to expose speaker.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 832844 Size: SH

    Important: Do not exceed torque specification over tightening of the screws will result in the stud breaking from the front floor console.

  1. Install the retainer clips to the speaker housing.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  2. Install the front speaker assembly woofer to the I/P carrier.
  3. Install the fasteners.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the exterior trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
