Grille Guard/Brush Guard Replacement Base

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 824708 Size: SH
  1. Remove the lower grille. Refer to Lower Grille Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolt from the pencil brace at the hood support, if equipped.
  3. Remove the bolts retaining the brush guard to the vehicle.
  4. Remove the brush guard from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 824708 Size: SH
  1. Install the brush guard to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts retaining the brush guard to the vehicle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the bolt to the pencil brace at the hood support, if equipped.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the lower grille. Refer to Lower Grille Replacement .

Preliminary Procedure

Open the hood in order to access the lower grille retainers.

Lower Grille

Tip
Apply outward pressure to the inner grille surface in order to release the inner retaining clips.

Pencil Brace Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
18 N·m (13.3 lb ft)

Grille/Brush Guard Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Tip
Use an assistant when installing the grille/brush guard.
