For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Reposition the battery cooling duct (1) from the battery box cover.
- Remove the junction block cover (1) from the junction block.
- Disconnect all the electrical connectors (1) from the junction block fuse holder.
- Remove the junction block fuse holder by releasing and lifting the 4 locking tabs (1) from the retainers (2) at the base of the fuse block holder (3) and reposition from the housing.
- If the junction block housing removal is necessary, perform the following:
| 6.1. | Remove the bolts (1) from the junction block housing (2). |
| 6.2. | Remove the junction block housing (2) from the vehicle. |
Installation Procedure
- If the junction block housing was removed, perform the following:
- Install the junction block fuse holder by positioning the 4 locking tabs (1) to the retainers (2) at the base of the fuse block holder (3) and pressing into place until fully seated.
- Connect all the electrical connectors (1) to the junction block fuse holder.
- Install the junction block cover (1) to the junction block.
- Reposition the battery cooling duct (1) to the battery box cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
| 1.1. | Install the junction block housing (2) to the vehicle. |
| 1.2. | Install the bolts (1) to the junction block housing (2) and tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in). |
