Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1864063 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove the intermediate axle shaft bracket bolts.

    4. Object Number: 1864064 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.
  5. Remove the A/C compressor lower bolts.
  6. Remove the center front crossmember.

    7. Object Number: 1864067 Size: SH
  7. Remove the oil pan.

Cleaning Procedure

  1. Clean the oil pan sealing surface.
  2. Clean the engine bed plate sealing surface.
  3. Clean the oil pan bolts.
  4. Clean the engine bed plate bolt holes.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1822577 Size: SH
  1. Coat the sealant (LOCTITE 5900) on the oil pan sealing surface.

    2. Object Number: 1864067 Size: SH
  2. Install the oil pan.
  3. Install the A/C compressor lower bolts.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.
    5. • Tighten the oil pan tightening bolts to 11  N·m (97.4 lb in).
    • Tighten the A/C compressor lower bolts to 23  N·m (17 lb ft).
    • Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts to 50  N·m (36.9 lb ft).

  5. Install the intermediate axle shaft bracket bolts and tighten to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
  6. Fill the engine with engine oil.
  7. Install the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
