Removal Procedure

    Important: Use a suitable tool to support the endgate during the replacement procedure, this will prevent the endgate and body from being damaged.

  1. Remove the endgate liner. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Liner Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 2007993 Size: SH

    Important: Take extra care not to damage the endgate latch rod retaining clips (3) when removing them from the latch anchor plate assembly (2).

  2. Remove the endgate latch rod (3) from endgate latch anchor plate assembly (2).

  3. Remove the endgate to endgate hinge retaining screw (2).
  4. Remove the endgate latch (1) from the endgate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2007992 Size: SH
  1. Install the endgate latch (1) to the endgate.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the endgate to endgate hinge retaining screw (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9  N·m (80 lb in).

    Important: Take extra care not to damage the endgate latch rod retaining clips (3) when install them to the latch anchor plate assembly (2).

  3. Install the endgate latch rod (3) to endgate latch anchor plate assembly (2).
  4. Install endgate liner. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Liner Replacement .
