Removal Procedure
  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Cab Tilting .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Pull free the clip securing the harness to the flywheel housing.

    4. Object Number: 1550324 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) electrical connector from the CMP sensor (1).
  5. Remove the bolt holding the CMP sensor.
  6. Remove the sensor from the cylinder head.

Installation Procedure
  1. Inspect the sensor and the sensor O-ring for damage.
    2. • If the O-ring is damaged, replace the O-ring.
    • If the sensor is damaged, replace both the sensor and the O-ring.
  2. Apply clean engine oil to the sensor O-ring.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the sensor to the cylinder head.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  4. Connect the CMP electrical connector to the CMP sensor (1).
  5. Secure the harness to the flywheel housing with the clip.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  7. Lower the cab.
