Inspect the steering column lock system for the following conditions:

•	Proper steering wheel nut tightening specification

•	Lash in the support to pivot pin connection

•	The upper bearing not seated in the housing

•	Missing the upper bearing inner race seat

•	Loose support screws

•	A missing or broken upper bearing spring

•	A loose steering wheel nut
