The front seatback does not lock.
    • The seatback lock is not in the full downward position.
    • Recliner mechanism malfunction.
  1. Inspect for material which restricts the downward movement of the latch.
  2. Trim material away in order to remove the obstruction.
  3. Replace the recliner mechanism. Refer to Front Seat Recliner Replacement .
