Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 289241 Size: SH
  4. Remove the lower garnish moldings (5). Refer to Lower Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the sail panels (4). Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    6. Object Number: 284115 Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear door opening weatherstrip.

    7. Important: If you reinstall the original weatherstrip, replace the 2 sealer patches.

  7. Clean off any residue from the 2 patches .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 284115 Size: SH
  1. Install the upper rear corner in order to hold the weatherstrip.
  2. Align the weatherstrip to the door opening.
  3. Beginning at the front transition, peel the backing tape from the patch on the weatherstrip.
  4. Press on the weatherstrip in order to adhere the patch to the body.

    5. Join the top of the transition to the bottom of the metal retainer.

  5. Install the weatherstrip into the metal retainer from the front to the upper rear corner.
  6. Peel the backing from the patch on the weatherstrip.
  7. Press on the weatherstrip in order to adhere the patch to the body.

    8. Join the top of the transition to the bottom of the metal retainer (see insert).

  8. Install the weatherstrip into the metal retainer from the lower transition to the upper corner.
  9. Install the lower portion of the weatherstrip onto the flange.

    10. Start at the middle and brush the excess to the bottom.

  10. Install the sail panels (4). Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the lower garnish molding (5). Refer to Lower Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  12. Install the carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  13. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  14. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
