Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement Buick

1. Place the window in the full-up position.
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .



4. Remove the door latch rod (2) from the door lock.
5. Remove the key cylinder rod (1) from the latch.
6. Insert the key into the key cylinder.
7. Rotate the key toward the front of the car until the key stops.
8. Remove the bolts.
9. Gently flex the lower rivets to one side in order to allow the ribs to disengage from the outer panel flange.
10. Remove the outside handle.

1. Insert the key.
2. Rotate the cylinder pawl up until the pawl stops on the handle support.
3. Hold the key cylinder rod (1) in a horizontal position against the back of the handle.
4. Install the outside handle rod (2) through the door.
5. Install the handle assembly to the door.
6. Push at the lower portion of the handle assembly in order to snap the ribs into place.
7. Install the 2 screws.



8. Install the rods to the latch.
9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Place the window in the full-up position.
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .



4. Remove the door latch rod (2) from the door lock.
5. Remove the key cylinder rod (1) from the latch.
6. Insert the key into the key chamber.
7. Rotate the key toward the front of the car until the key stops.
8. Remove the bolts.
9. Gently flex the lower rivets to one side in order to allow the ribs to disengage from the outer panel flange.
10. Remove the outside handle.

1. Insert the key.
2. Rotate the cylinder pawl up until the pawl stops on the handle support.
3. Hold the key cylinder rod (1) in a horizontal position against the back of the handle.
4. Install the outside handle rod (2) through the door.
5. Install the handle assembly to the door.
6. Push at the lower portion of the handle assembly in order to snap the ribs into place.
7. Install the screws.



8. Install the rods to the latch.
9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
