Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

1. Set the mirror select switch to the inoperative mirror.
2. Use the digital multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe the outside mirror switch.

•	Terminal M and terminal B (LH outside rearview mirror).

•	Terminal M and terminal E (RH outside rearview mirror).

3. Position the outside mirror switch to the left and then to the right.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 7

1. Disconnect the inoperative outside rearview mirror connector.
2. Connect a DMM between terminal A and terminal B of the outside rearview mirror connector.
3. Position the outside mirror switch to the left and then to the right.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

1. Connect a DMM between the outside rearview mirror connector terminal B and ground.
2. Position the outside mirror switch to the right direction.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the open or short to ground in the CKT.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 82 (LT BLU).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the outside mirror switch.

Replace the suspect outside rear view mirror.
