Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to 
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle 
 in General Information.
 
- Remove the engine oil pan drain plug  and
drain the engine oil.
 
- Remove
the engine protection shield mounting  bolts.
 
- Remove the engine protection shield.
 
- Disconnect the electrical connector from
 the engine oil level sensor.
 
- Remove the engine oil level sensor mounting bolt.
 
- Remove the engine oil level sensor.
 
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine oil level sensor.
 
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the engine oil level sensor mounting  bolt.
 
Tighten
Tighten the engine oil level sensor mounting bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the
 engine oil level sensor.
 
- Install
the engine protection shield.
 
- Install the engine protection shield mounting bolts.
 
Tighten
Tighten the engine protection shield mounting bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the engine oil drain plug.
 
Tighten
Tighten the engine oil drain plug bolt to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
 
- Fill the crankcase with the proper quantity of engine oil. Refer  to 
Approximate Fluid Capacities 
 and 
Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations 
 in Maintenance  and Lubrication.
