Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 49594 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

    2. Object Number: 486596 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from the EVAP purge solenoid.

    3. Object Number: 217748 Size: SH
  3. Bend the tab on the solenoid mounting bracket to remove the EVAP purge solenoid.
  4. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 217748 Size: SH
  1. Bend the tab on the EVAP purge solenoid mounting bracket to install the EVAP purge solenoid.
  2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid.

    3. Object Number: 486596 Size: SH
  3. Connect the hoses and the electrical connector to the solenoid.

    4. Object Number: 49594 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

    2. Object Number: 217753 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from the EVAP purge solenoid.
  3. Bend the tab on the solenoid mounting bracket to remove the EVAP purge solenoid.

    4. Object Number: 217755 Size: SH
  4. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 217755 Size: SH
  1. Bend the tab on the EVAP purge solenoid mounting bracket to install the solenoid.
  2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid.

    3. Object Number: 217753 Size: SH
  3. Connect the hoses and the electrical connector to the EVAP purge solenoid.

    4. Object Number: 49594 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
