1. Disconnect C202.
2. Connect a test lamp between the C202 terminal B3 (body harness side) and ground.
3. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the test lamp lit?

Go to step 4

Go to step 5

Repair open in the steering column harness, circuit 33 (TAN/WHT) or the ignition switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

1. Ignition switch in OFF.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster (Buick w/ UB3 remote indicator bank) connectors.
3. Connect a fused jumper between the;

•	(Buick w/ UB3) remote indicator bank harness connector terminals 17 and 18.

•	(Buick w/ U23) instrument cluster harness connector terminals B1 and A2.

•	(Oldsmobile) instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal D9 and connector C1 terminal C13.

•	(Pontiac w/ UB3) instrument cluster harness connector terminals B2 and A5.

•	(Pontiac w/ U50/U2F) instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminals A7 and A10.

4. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the test lamp lit?

Connect the fused jumper between the;

1. (Buick w/ UB3) remote indicator bank harness connector terminals 18 and battery positive voltage.
2. (Buick w/ U23) instrument cluster harness connector terminals A2 and battery positive voltage.
3. (Oldsmobile) instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal C13 and battery positive voltage.
4. (Pontiac w/ UB3) instrument cluster harness connector terminals A5 and B+.
5. (Pontiac w/ U50/U2F) instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminals A10 and battery positive voltage.

Is the test lamp lit?

Repair open in circuit 439 (PNK).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

Check the instrument cluster (Buick W/ UB3 remote indicator bank) BRAKE indicator and circuit for an open.

Is repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

1. Disconnect the park brake switch.
2. Connect a test lamp between the the park brake switch harness connector terminal A and ground.
3. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the test lamp lit?

Go to step 10

Go to step 11

Replace the park brake switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

Repair open in circuit 33 (TAN/WHT).

Is the repair complete?
