Check the PANEL DIMMING fuse.

Is the PANEL DIMMING fuse open?

Repair short to ground in circuit 32.

1. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
2. Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch to the HIGH position.
3. Using a test lamp, backprobe between the I/P dimmer switch connector terminal D and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair poor connection or an open in circuit 32.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

Using a test lamp, backprobe between the I/P dimmer switch harness connector terminal C and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the I/P lamp dimmer switch. Refer to Instrument Panel Multifunction Switch Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console for service procedure.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 8 between the I/P lamp dimmer switch terminal C and S203.

Is the repair complete?
