Was the interior lights dimming system check performed?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

Check the I/P lamp dimmer switch harness connector for a poor connection.

Is there a poor connection?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
3. Using the J-39200 backprobe the I/P dimmer switch connector terminal A to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

Less Than 1.0 V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair poor connection at the I/P dimmer switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

Replace the I/P dimmer switch. Refer to Instrument Panel Multifunction Switch Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console for service procedure.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

Repair the open or high resistance connection between the I/P dimmer switch connector terminal A and G201.
