SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) RATTLES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND/OR THE FUSE BLOCK IS LOOSE IN THE OPENING. TECHNICIANS MAY ALSO EXPERIENCE DIFFICULT REINSTALLATION OF THE FUSE BLOCK.
THE I/P FUSE BLOCK OPENING MAY BE CRACKED AT THE FORWARD CORNER.
INSTALL I/P REINFORCEMENT BRACKET (P/N 10412722), USING THE FOLLOWING SERVICE PROCEDURE.
1. REMOVE I/P FUSE BLOCK COVER.
2. RELEASE FUSE BLOCK RETAINING TABS AND ALLOW FUSE BLOCK TO LEAN BACK INTO I/P.
3. INSTALL FUSE BLOCK REINFORCEMENT BRACKET BY INSERTING BRACKET THROUGH UPPER ACCESS HOLE IN I/P AND ROUTE BETWEEN FUSE BLOCK AND I/P STRUCTURE (SEE FIGURE 1).
4. ALIGN THE REINFORCEMENT BRACKET (SEE FIGURE 2) AND BEND RETAINING TABS AROUND THE SIDE STRUCTURE OF THE I/P.
5. INSTALL FUSE BLOCK TO I/P BY SNAPPING INTO PLACE.
6. INSTALL I/P FUSE BLOCK COVER.
