  1. Verify that the transaxle shift selector is in PARK.
  2. Remove key from the ignition switch.
  3. Press the fuel tank filler door release switch.

The fuel tank filler door releases.

  1. Close the fuel tank filler door.
  2. Step firmly on the brake pedal.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. With the transaxle shift selector out of PARK, press the fuel tank filler door release switch.

The fuel tank filler door remains in the latched position.
    • Out of adjustment or faulty transaxle range switch.
    • Short to B+ in circuit 275.
    • Faulty fuel tank filler door lock actuator.
