Removal Procedure
- Remove the overhead console. Refer to
Roof Console Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the garage door switch.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof switch (1).
- Remove the garage door switch screws.
- Remove and separate the
garage door switch transmitter (4), the wire harness (3), and
the switch assembly (2), from the overhead console (1).
Installation Procedure
- Position the switch assembly (2),
the wire harness (3), and the switch transmitter (4), in the
overhead console (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the garage door switch screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof switch (1).
- Connect the electrical connector to the garage door switch.
- Install the overhead console. Refer to
Roof Console Replacement
in Interior Trim.
