Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil pan and the gasket. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 164803 Size: SH
  2. Remove the filter (100).
  3. Remove the lip ring seal pressed into the case only if replacement is necessary.
  4. Inspect the screen for the following foreign material:
    5. • Metal particles.
    • Clutch facing material.
    • Rubber particles.
    • Engine coolant.
  5. Determine the source of the contamination if foreign material is evident. Repair as necessary.
  6. Clean the screen and allow the screen to dry completely.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 164802 Size: SH
  1. If removed, install a new seal (101).

    2. Object Number: 164803 Size: SH
  2. Install the filter (100).
  3. Install the gasket and the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
