Disconnect the battery netative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
20 N·m (15 lb ft)

Procedure

Transfer any parts as needed.

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.

Battery Negative Cable Fly Lead Fastener

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Do not depress the brake pedal with the brake rotors and/or the brake drums removed, or with the brake calipers repositioned away from the brake rotors, or damage to the brake system may result.

Tighten:
9 N·m (7 lbf ft)

Battery Negative Cable Fly Lead

Procedure

Release the fly lead from the battery negative cable.

Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener

Tighten
: 20 N·m (15 lb ft)

Battery Negative Cable

Caution: Whenever the brake rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or foreign material from the mating surface of the rotor and flange with the J 42450 hub cleaning kit. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the rotor and brake pulsation.
