Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
2. With the park brake lever fully released, release the cable from the equalizer.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

Front Park Brake Cable

Procedure

1. Carefully position the driveline tunnel insulator downward just enough to access the cable equalizer.
2. Rotate the front cable end to release the cable from the equalizer.

Park Brake Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Park Brake Lever Assembly

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.
2. Adjust the tension of the park brake cables. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment.
