Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the body side outer panel. Refer to Body Side Outer Panel Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2020476 Size: SH

    Note: Do not damage any inner panels or reinforcements.

  2. Cut out the body side outer panel rear upper extension roughly.

    3. Note: Note the number and location of the welds for installations of the service part.

  3. Locate and drill out all of the necessary factory welds.
  4. Remove the damaged body side outer panel rear upper extension.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2020477 Size: SH
  1. Prepare new body side outer panel rear upper extension in the area (1).

    2. 4x slots 8x24mm ( 0.3x0.9 in).

  2. Prepare all attachment surfaces as necessary.
  3. Apply bodywork repair through structural adhesive to body. Refer to Structural Adhesive Body Repairs.

    4. Object Number: 2020479 Size: SH
  4. Position the body side outer panel rear upper extension.

    5. Object Number: 2020480 Size: SH

    Note: Refer to Welded, Brazed, and Riveted Joint Specifications.

  5. Spot weld the body side outer panel rear upper extension accordingly.
  6. MIG-braze the body side outer panel rear upper extension.
  7. Grind MIG-brazed seams.
  8. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.
  9. Install the body side outer panel. Refer to Body Side Outer Panel Replacement.
