Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 527939 Size: SH
  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  4. Remove the PASS-Key III® module (3) from the instrument panel.
    5. 4.1. Insert your right hand through the opening at the left side of the radio opening.
    4.2. Push the tab (1) towards the left side of the vehicle.
    4.3. Grasp the module through the knee bolster opening.
    4.4. Push the module (3) forward to remove.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 527939 Size: SH
  1. Install the electrical connector (2).
  2. Install the PASS-Key III® module into the instrument panel.
    3. 2.1. Align the module (3) to the opening in the instrument panel.
    2.2. Pull the module rearward until the retainer tab (1) snaps in place.
  3. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  4. Install the instrument cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Perform the Programing Theft Deterrent System Components procedure. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components .
